The endowed fund was
incorporated in August 1992. Each Greek Orthodox Church in the
Washington area with a Philoptochos chapter is eligible for active
membership in this Foundation. Two appointed Philoptochos members
represent each chapter on the Foundation Board.
The objective of the
Children's AGAPE Foundation is to receive through fundraising and to
administer funds for charitable purposes to assist in the payment of
medical expenses of gravely ill indigent children up to the age of 21
years. The Foundation strives to meet the challenge to provide medical
assistance to needy Orthodox Christian children through the medical
talent within our Greek Community, the available research at National
Institute of Health and
other medical facilities in the area.
The Foundation has a
charted eligibility requirement process and medical record evaluation.
Referrals are
encouraged. Please contact Children's AGAPE (see address below)
to refer a possible candidate.
Donations and contributions
