Children's AGAPE Foundation of the Washington Area Philoptochos Societies

The endowed fund was incorporated in August 1992. Each Greek Orthodox Church in the Washington area with a Philoptochos chapter is eligible for active membership in this Foundation. Two appointed Philoptochos members represent each chapter on the Foundation Board.

The objective of the Children's AGAPE Foundation is to receive through fundraising and to administer funds for charitable purposes to assist in the payment of medical expenses of gravely ill indigent children up to the age of 21 years. The Foundation strives to meet the challenge to provide medical assistance to needy Orthodox Christian children through the medical talent within our Greek Community, the available research at National Institute of Health  and other medical facilities in the area.

The Foundation has a charted eligibility requirement process and medical record evaluation.
Referrals are encouraged. Please contact Children's AGAPE (see address below) to refer a possible candidate.
